Will Porsche offer more electric cars in the future?
Electric driving is becoming quite popular. Sports cars have a reputation for leaving a big carbon footprint on the environment, so they’re often met with critical acclaim by many. However, Porsche is doing something to help reduce greenhouse gasses and eliminate the need for stops at the fuel pumps. The Taycan is the first all-electric Porsche model to be produced, and it begs the question: will Porsche offer more electric cars in the future?
The Taycan is quickly garnering a lot of buzz for the performance specs it has to offer. The all-electric sports car can get up to an incredible 750 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the top motor and can also achieve a jaw-dropping 0 to 60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds. The Taycan has presented a huge challenge to Tesla, which has dominated the electric vehicle industry for quite some time now. This is only the beginning for Porsche, though. Porsche recently announced that they will be spending $6.6 billion developing electric vehicles through 2022, so while we don’t know if there will be more electric models to come next year, it’s safe to assume more hybrids and fully-electric Porsche models will be available in the coming years.
