What’s New in the 2019 Porsche Macan?
Porsche has released some information on the freshest face of the Macan family. The 2019 Macan has received some new features for the 2019 model year, and we’re excited to see everything this sleek SUV has to offer. Take a look at what’s new in the 2019 Porsche Macan!
There’s plenty to see in the newest Macan, so let’s get started. You’ll notice an updated grille and fascia for a wider appearance as well as LED headlights and taillights, which now come standard in all trims. Porsche decided to change things up and add an 11-inch infotainment screen, replacing the smaller 7-inch infotainment screen that was there in 2018. Drivers appreciated Traffic Jam Assist in the past as it helps relive the stress that comes with driving on a congested road. that feature now works over a greater speed range. Never worry about scraping your windshield on cold frosty mornings again thanks to an electrically-heated windshield and air-ionization system, which are both optional features.
Performance-wise, Porsche has kept most of that information on the down-low. They’ve vaguely mentioned that the chassis has been fine-tuned and that the tires have been improved, but there’s no word on what the engine specs will be. In the US, the Macan comes in a few different engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo with 252 horsepower; a 340-horsepower, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 in the Macan S; a 360-horsepower version of the same engine in the GTS; and either 400 or 440 horsepower from the twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 in the Macan Turbo.
