Performance features in the 2020 Porsche Taycan
Porsche fans always know they can expect something unique and exhilarating year after year, and 2020 proves to be no different. Since the introduction of the all-electric Taycan as a concept model a few years back, this model has now become reality as it has rolled out into production. Competing favorably against the electric titan Tesla, the Taycan adds a compelling option for drivers to consider. Check out the performance features in the 2020 Porsche Taycan here on our blog!
Keeping up a high level of power and performance means having some efficient and powerful juice under the hood. The 2020 Taycan comes equipped with two Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors in the Taycan Turbo and the Taycan Turbo S as well as a 93 kWh performance battery, which allows drivers to get the most out of both efficiency and driving dynamics depending on what they’re looking for in that moment. There is also a two-speed transmission on the rear axles, but don’t be alarmed: although most would agree that the seven or eight-speed automatics like those found in most Porsche models work best, this intelligent transmission offers much-improved driving dynamics for an incredible driving experience.
The Taycan comes with up to 750 horsepower under the hood, which makes for a compelling ride and a very sporty throttle response. In the Taycan Turbo S, you’ll be able to reach 0 to 60 mph in a jaw-dropping 2.6 seconds. Other performance highlights include Porsche Active Aerodynamics, an adaptive air suspension, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and many more.
