2020 Porsche Macan trim level comparison
Have you been considering a new SUV? Something small and versatile, yet powerful and athletic? There is one option that reigns supreme compared to the competition: the Macan. This compact SUV was the second Porsche SUV created after they first released the Cayenne in 2003. The Macan has proven itself as a worthy option to consider for drivers who want top-notch performance and interior luxury. So which 2020 Macan trim level is right for you? Find out here in this 2020 Porsche Macan trim level comparison!
The base Macan is the most affordable of the four trim levels. Drivers will have a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that gets 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It’s also the most fuel-efficient of the bunch, getting 19 city/23 hwy mpg. Despite being a base model, the Macan Base still has all-wheel drive, a 10.9-inch touchscreen display, and BOSE® Surround Sound System.
The Macan S is essentially a higher-performing replica of the Macan Base. While it will still have many of the same interior features and amenities, the Macan S upgrades the engine to a turbocharged V6 with 348 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The end result is a sportier drive with only slightly less mpgs (18 city/23 hwy mpg).
This is where things really start to get interesting. The Macan GTS is a sportier version than the previous two trim levels thanks to a twin-turbocharged 2.9L V6 engine with 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque for a quick 0 to 60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds when properly equipped. Highlights include a wireless smartphone charging system, sport seats with Alcantara seating material, and an adaptive air suspension.
The Macan Turbo, as you may have guessed, is the top trim level and gets the most power of the bunch. It gets an incredible 434 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque for a 0 to 60 time of just 4.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. Handling of the Macan Turbo is second to none thanks to the Porsche Active Suspension Management system with three settings. Other highlights include Wi-Fi, 18-way power front seats, a Burmester Surround Sound System with 21 speakers, and more.
If you’re looking for premium luxury in a small SUV, you’d be hard-pressed to find something more complete than the Macan. For more trim level comparisons, get in touch with our team here at McDaniels Porsche in Columbia or schedule a test drive with us today!
